All-round farmer and person

Being successful in your profession is more than just a qualification on paper. Working together, making plans, running a business, dealing with setbacks and learning from other people: it is all part of the process. That is why the Warmonderhof organises all kinds of extracurricular activities including excursions, working groups, projects and work experience/internships. By providing you with a wide range of experiences this educational programme gives you the best possible perspective on biodynamic farming.

How, what, who and where?

The minimum entrance requirements are a pre-vocational secondary education qualification (vmbo-kbl in the Dutch education system). However, the challenging nature of this educational programme means that it has everything to offer to students who have completed a higher level secondary education, for example senior general secondary education (havo) or pre-university education (vwo).

This four year, full time programme is jointly organised by Groenhorst College and the Warmonderhof Foundation, both located in Dronten, The Netherlands. The entire educational programme (theory, practice and accommodation) is offered within the grounds of the Warmonderhof. The Warmonderhof teaches you threefold in four years’ time: practical, theoretical and living:

- years 1 + 2 professional knowledge and work experience in the farming business
- at the end of the 2nd year an internship of 6 months, often abroad
- year 3 specialisation, working and management in practice
- year 4 preparing to run your own business

You are welcome to visit the Warmonderhof at one of our Open Days or Join-in-Days and you can arrange for one of our students to phone you.
